USES & APPLICATIONS…

Q: What is a car wrap? Paint, Stickers, Airbrushing?
A: A car wrap is an industrial vinyl covering that is adhered directly to the body of your car. Often times after the application, the artwork is so accurate and lifelike; it is often mistaken for a custom paint job.

Q: Does it matter what color my car is?
A: Not at all, a car wrap is not translucent; so you cannot see through it. This allows you to totally transform your vehicle and hide minor imperfections such as dents, scratches and stone chips!

Q: If I decide to put graphics on the windows, how will I be able to see out?
A: The window graphics are printed on a special perforated vinyl that allows you to see out through the rear and side rear windows, but not see in from outside of the vehicle.

Q: Do you wrap the front side windows?
A: No, state laws prohibit the use of wraps on driver and passenger side windows, as well as the windshield.

Q: Can I wrap the roof of my car?
A: Generally, we do not wrap the roofs of larger vehicles (vans, trucks or SUV’s), unless it is requested by the customer. However, if you prefer, absolutely, we cab wrap the roof as well!

Q: Can you wrap a fiberglass bumper?
A: Yes! We can wrap a plastic or fiberglass bumper, though it is not recommended as it does not last as long as the rest of the wrap on the body of the vehicle, so once again, it is at the discretion of the customer to decide whether or not to wrap a plastic or fiberglass bumper.

Q: Can you wrap my hubcaps or rims?
A: No, it is not suggested to wrap any part of the wheel.

Q: Can you wrap boats, airplanes, helicopters, & trailers?
A: Of course we can! If it flies, drives, rolls or floats, we can wrap it!

Q: Can Car Wraps make custom magnets for my vehicles?
A: YES WE CAN! AND WE DO! We can create custom high-resolution magnets in any quantity. Many company owners will provide magnets for everyone (receptionist, secretaries, and spouses) in the office.

Q: Do you produce vinyl signage & banners?
A: Yes & Yes! Check out our signs and banners section of our website for samples and more information!

Q: Why should I use Car Wraps as opposed to painted or vinyl lettering?
A: Applying or altering the paint on your car actually decreases its value. The same applies for vinyl lettering which can cause 'fading' or 'shadowing' to the original paint. Additionally, a car wrap looks so much more eye-catching and professional to the potential customer.

Q: What if I change my company logo or contact information in the future?
A: No Problem... we can print logos, phone numbers, websites etc. as overlays on the car wrap, so that they can directly cover certain areas of the artwork, replacing the information if you switch companies or change information.

Q: Does Car Wraps have a payment plan?
A: No, but we do accept major credit cards and checks.

Q: I want to wrap my car, how do I get started?
Call or email us to speak with a qualified car wrap specialist or you can fill out our request for information form in the contact us section of our website. We will ask you a few brief questions

DESIGN & INSTALLATION…

Q: Do I have to wash my vehicle before installation?
A: Yes. Your vehicle(s) has to be free of wax, dust, mud, pollen, and other agents that may slow down the installation process.

Q: How do I decide what to put on my vehicle in terms of design?
A: Not sure what to put on your wrap? No worries, in fact that is in fact our strength. Our customers let us know of their artistic vision for the wrap and then supply us with the appropriate logos, photos, and other essential images. Then our graphic designers will mock-up a design in a layout that best suits the shape, colour, and contours of the vehicle. Usually clients will supply the photos or images from their business that they want on the wrap if not, we have many resources for them to find and purchase photos and images for their particular design and campaign.

Q: How long will it take for the actual installation of the wrap?
A: Installation generally takes between one and two days depending on how much coverage has to be applied and the type of vehicle it is being applied to.

Q:
I am often very busy and I may not be able to come and meet with your designers very often, how do will we finish the concept and design for the wrap quickly and efficiently?
A: Many of our clients are either too busy or too far to come in and sit with, however, we can send you your concept/design updates and artwork via email to keep in regular communication with you during the design process.  Remember your feedback is important to the overall process and we always strive to assure a simple, efficient process from start to finish.

MEDIA EFFECTIVENESS…

Q: How effective is a car wrap?
A: Studies conducted have shown that a car wrap can garner up to 8.3 million views per year in a city of 50,000. In a medium-sized city like Mississauga, a Car Wrap can make 1000-2500 impressions per hour on a busy boulevard. In busy metropolitan areas like Downtown Toronto, impressions per hour can be as high as 20,000.

Q: Why choose a wrap instead of traditional advertising like newspapers or magazines?
A: Combine the total that you or your company spends on advertising each year; compare those costs to the cost of a car wrap. Factor in that a car wrap lasts between 3-5 years and will be seen by millions over that period of time. In addition, there are no monthly fees, maintenance or renewal charges. No other form of advertising can do more for your dollar then a mobile wrap!
